Polystyrene Poking

Our "Poly" Fun Project would have to be one of the most successful projects we offer. The reaction everyone has to it is quite amazing - they’re totally absorbed! There is no gluing, sewing or skill required and the results are stunning! Going by our experiences, we believe that just about everyone could do this regardless of their age, ability or disability, whether it be physical or mental. Even people who may not want to make the item but would still like to be involved could draw or trace simple designs onto the polystyrene for those who can’t.

The only materials required for this project are a piece of polystyrene, small pieces of material (pre cut at SAVI) and a pen.

"Poly" Fun appeals to children, adults, people with disabilities (such as dementia, poor hearing or limited mobility resulting), vision impaired people (the outline of the picture can be "scored" so that they can feel a groove) and the general public.
