"Safe Steps": CLICK, Eshel, and the Hod Hasharon Sport Department commenced a walking group for the city's senior citizens

The walking group will get together once a week in the morning. A "walking guide" will join each outing as well as the Hod Hasharon police department. The guide will provide explanations during the walk and discuss how to walk carefully, how to safely cross streets and more. Walking provides enormous benefits for the elderly. It's easy to do on a daily basis, and doesn't require special equipment or expensive venues. Many elderly are keen to walk but are often afraid of falling or of crossing streets safely. That's why we want to invite all interested to join the Safe Steps program. If you are interested in joining Safe Steps, or volunteering in this project, please contact Tali, the sport coordinator at 050-210.2826.
