A Volunteer's Story

Nurit Ya'ari, A volunteer at Neve Ne'eman

Nurit volunteers as a teacher at the Community Center for the Aged. She was "drafted" by Miriam Lotem, another very active volunteer in CLICK. Mrs. Ya'ari reads the newspaper with the center's members, and discusses current events with them. Through this class, the elderly learn new words in Hebrew, as well as keep abreast of the latest developments in the country. They eagerly await each weekly lesson. Mrs. Perach Agami of the center talks about Nurit: "I love the classes she gives us. There is no teacher like Nurit. The other day we learned about family trees and our roots. I want to thank Nurit for everything she does for us and particularly for the good feeling she gives us all."
