Hands-On Fund Raising Program

The Pratt Family Foundation has offered CLICK the opportunity to partake in a new professional hands-on fund-raising program called PRADLER.

"This support will take the form of an external 'consultant' working part-time with CLICK, developing its materials, skills and programs in order that it develop the tools to enable long term development and project viability." (The Pradler Model of Third-Sector Self-Sustainability: A new model of involved venture philanthropy: Empowering young non-profits to sustain themselves and remain viable over the long-term)

"The Pradler model is a new form of 'empowering the organization to help itself.' It will have broad implications and impact on the relationship between donors and their partner grantee organizations. No longer will one-off grants necessarily be the norm, but part of (or all of) the funds will be diverted to internal and independent development. That is, the granted resources will be directed internally and not, as is generally the case, directed externally to the target community, leaving the search for everything from staff costs to purchasing toilet paper a never ending drain on valuable manpower and resources that should be directed externally."
