National Out-Reach Program for the Housebound

The SAVI program currently operates a Handicraft Housebound project in Hod Hasharon for the aged, who are unable to attend day centers, as a result of temporary or ongoing deterioration in their physical abilities.

To extend this initiative on a national basis, SAVI'S staff is currently conducting a pilot training program to seven community outreach coordinators employed by Moked Enosh - an Israeli Hi-Tech Company involved in the field of personal security and monitoring services. The training sessions teach the coordinators how to reach out to the housebound, assess and match their abilities to specific handicraft options, supplied by SAVI. Plans are to reach as many regions as possible catered by Moked Enosh in Israel.
