A group of dedicated and committed local residents, joined forces with the Department of Human Services under the auspices of their local municipality. Together they promoted the development of a not-for-profit organization called CLICK, Community Leadership and Intervention of Crisis for Kids and the Elderly.
CLICK was established in order to meet the increasing needs of children from families in stress and the lonely aged sector. Since 1983, CLICK has been forth coming in taking care of their requirements in Hod Hasharon, a municipality close to Tel Aviv.
Our vision is that the aged in our community will enjoy a better quality of life, as a result of the intervention of the local community. CLICK believes that today’s elderly are a potential active resource, awaiting opportunities to become "integral contributors" of our society.
CLICK strives to improve the quality of life for the aged by providing vocational, educational, social and cultural services in an empathetic secure environment; thereby raising their individual and community image and enabling them to remain integral contributors to society.
Alongside responsibility of operating our core programs CLICK aspires to self sustainability, so as to support additional secondary innovative projects targeting children, the disabled and the weaker members in our society.
We helped to create these pictures. The smiles, the hopes, the joys of life! They are all part of our commitment to create a better community. As volunteers, you too can be part of the picture.
We invite you to enjoy our range of diverse social innovations and help us create an enhanced quality of life for our community.
Yours,
Ziona Kemelman, Social Worker, Chairperson and Dr Linda Mosek, Social Worker, Executive Director
